By © Arthur Wang, The Part Time Job Home

Whether you will retire wealthy or end up broke will depends on what you continue to do NOW and in the
FUTURE. People who can retired comfortably without worrying for their next meal make preparation early even before
when they need the money.

Residual income is the key for you to get rich and retire comfortably.

What actually is Residual Income?

A residual income is a steady flow of earn income which a person have put in the initial time and effort to build it. It continue
to produce money for you while you sleep, on vacation or while you are sick and need to stay at home to recovery.

Examples of Residual Income:

- Song and book writers continue to get royalties from the songs and books they have written for many years. This is called
residual income.

- The monthly rental income from your various properties investment is another form of residual income.

- Quarterly dividends from your stocks and bonds is residual income.

The more streams of residual income you build, the richer you become. Eventually, those people who build a steady
stream of multiple residual income will be able to retire without having any financial worry.

The rich and affluent usually have the financial mindset of building a constant flow of residual income. That is why they don’t
have to worry when one stream of income dries off as they have other cash cows which will still produce the cash flow that
they need to maintain their rich lifestyle.

For the majority of the job worker, they have only have stream of full time income. When they are retrenched or
retired, their SINGLE stream of income is gone. Many job worker are often too busy enjoying their life first and spent
very little time to THINK how to build multiple streams of residual income so that one day they can FREED themselves from
being a job slave.

Rich people are not special species from another universe. Take a look at the great stock investor Warren Buffett, he may
wear older clothes or drive an older cars, but he is definitely very wealthy. One of the special traits of the modestly rich is that
they always believe that frugality is the best way to increase your savings and invest in assets that can produce a residual
income for many many years.

A business or a stay at home internet part time business can be another job. However, as you gain more
experienced, you can automate it and spend less time on it. You can build multiple streams of residual income with a single
website by joining multiple opportunities or you can build multiple website that earns you multiple income from different
opportunities.

Likewise, when you start a traditional business, you must have the mindset to manage and developed a system that you can
employed someone to run the days to days operation while you focus on starting other business. Look at Supermarkets, they
are not run by their owners.

Always remember, Work SMART, NOT work HARD. If there are many people who can build a multiple streams of
income from their stay at home internet part time job, so can you. Whatever business you intend to pursue, be
prepared to constantly learn what it takes to succeed and expand your financial education.

Wishing you success in changing your Financially Destiny.

While constructing a good resume and developing work experience are necessary tools to have while searching for a job, one of the most important aspects of job searching is networking. The concept of networking has been in place for hundreds of years and it has entered into the computer age as well, with the advent of the Internet and advanced computer technology.

Building a solid networking framework can be a valuable asset in looking for the right job. This network can consist of friends and family, old classmates, old employers or simply acquaintances you have met. Joining community programs and clubs can also extend the reach of your network. If you are a college graduate, get in touch with your college’s Career Services program and find out how they can help you build your network.

Educate the people in your network about your qualifications and skills as well as the kind of work you are looking for. In this way, people will have you in mind when they come across a good employment option. Contact as many people as you can and develop a store of information and leads related to your job search. The more people in your network, the greater your chances of landing the job that you want.

With the advent of the Internet, job search networking has revolutionized tremendously. There are now a number of job search sites and forums available that are specifically designed to help you network and find the job you are looking for. Best of all, most of these websites offer their services for free. Online networking sites have a number of advantages, one of them being that you can connect with a vast number of people, even on an international level.

You can also fine-tune your network, joining online job forums or performing job searches that suit your own specific criteria. Many online networking sites and forums will give you the opportunity to communicate with employers directly. Many sites also provide job listings as well as a platform on which you can post your resume or apply for jobs. Online networking forums and job sites will also have chat rooms or message boards, where you can ask questions, get advice or network with people online.

While networking online, it is a good idea to keep track of where you apply, whom you are mailing and where you have sent queries. Since applying for jobs or sending emails is done quickly and easily over the Internet, it can be easy to lose track. Keeping track of your networking activities can save you the trouble of making mistakes later on. Keep your resume up-to-date and ready to send. Remember the strengths and attributes that you have listed so that you can articulate them when attending interviews. Using the internet to enhance your job search network can be a valuable tool, as it extends your reach and gives you access to a number of resources online.

William Nichols runs the LAJobHunter.com. A great career resource site. We list Jobs in Los Angeles and also have original career articles and a great resume and interview resource center.

The term “biotech,” short for “biotechnology,” refers to the application and manipulation of biological resources to develop products and processes that fulfill industrial and other human objectives. While popular imagination tends to latch onto controversial fields of biotechnological research like DNA typing, cloning, and stem cell research, the fact is that biotechnology has commonplace applications ranging from bread production to wastewater recycling that influence our daily lives. The consequence of this wide reach of biotechnology is that the number biotech jobs continues to grow faster than the numbers of jobs in other sectors. The Divisions of Biotech A great number of industries are directly influenced by biotechnology, and it would be difficult to mention all of them in a short article. However, to provide a broader perspective, jobs in biotechnology can be grouped into three functional categories: Research and development: Considered by some to be the most prestigious division of biotech research and development (R&D) creates the frontiers of biotechnology and sets the paradigms that influence both humanity and the biotech job market. The three major divisions of biotechnological R&D are research for discoveries, veterinary sciences, and bioinformatics. Jobs in this sector are usually reserved for life scientists. Clinical research and safety: Once a functional process or product is developed by R&D, the necessity to establish trials to determine the impact of the product or process on public health and safety emerges. Biotechnologists working in this field ensure the safety of biotechnological products and processes. Compliance: Issues of compliance with respect to biotechnological products and processes”in terms of both quality and standards and rules established by the state”create openings for biotechnologists. Openings for biotechnologists are also available in the following specific areas and functional fields: Medicine and Pharmaceuticals In this broad field, the following functional areas need biotechnologists: genetics, including medical genetics, genetic counseling, and genetic nursing organ transplantation, reproduction, and regenerative medicine public health and safety, which includes projects ranging from vaccine development to wastewater treatment by bacterial colonies gene testing and genetic therapy Agriculture Under the broad heading of agriculture, the following functional areas rely on the application of biotechnology and consequently are the areas where biotech jobs are to be found: development of genetically modified variations of plants and seeds development of biological pesticides and nutrition identification and protection of endangered species, including artificial breeding verification and authentication of costly food products Bioinformatics Under this broad heading come: computational biology supercomputing statistical and actuarial functions data analysis, data transfer, database creation, and other data-related functions Law With the rise in the use of biotechnology, openings for biotechnologists have also opened up in the legal field. Openings are principally located in the following functional areas: patent specialties and litigation academia ethical, social, and legal issues forensic sciences, including gene testing for identification purposes Guided Missile Development and Space Technology Biotechnologists are required in organizations engaged in manufacturing guided missiles and space vehicles. Functional areas include: creation of closed artificial environments creation of life-supporting equipment and systems research into the effects of space on biological systems cybernetics Engineering There are many opportunities for biotechnologists in the field of engineering. Biotechnologists working in this area may be involved in: designing bioprocessing containers and equipment creating new energy sources such as biofuels biomedical engineering Education Obviously a need for biotechnologists who can teach will always exist. Types of opportunities available in biotechnological education reflect the needs of universities and traditional academic structure. Besides the above fields, there are myriad other divisions of applied biotechnology, including life-science research, anthropology, history, military, bio-science communication, and chemical manufacturing. Biotech Job Designations Biotech job designations are as varied as the fields in which biotechnology finds application. Though designations can reflect the imagination of the employer, some standard, industry-recognized designations that are related to biotechnology or the application of biotechnical knowledge are veterinary assistant, veterinarian, technician, technologist, chemist, pharmacologist, laboratory technician, chemical technician, engineer, computer system analyst, health service worker, physician, biological scientist, biotechnologist, and agricultural technician. One’s designation depends on the organization, industry, and sector in which he or she works, and job designations can be superficially misleading.

How a Core Banking Solution Works A core banking solution, often referred to as a CBS, typically has a GL subsystem at its core with plug-in satellite modules catering to the various divisions of the bank. The satellite modules, referred to as “modules,” cater to the business functionalities of the various lines of business of the bank. Typical CBS modules include but are not limited to: Non-financial modules: • Customer definition and accounts • Customer limits definition, lines of credit, a central bank reporting structure • Messaging and advice • End-of-day processing modules, etc. Financial modules: • Loans, deposits, money markets • Letters of credits and bills • Treasury • Liquidity management • Local payments and cross-border payments • Nostro reconciliations • Interest and charge definitions, etc. Each silo or line of business employs one or more of these modules to run its business. The modules are used to create contracts with customers at the branch level for various products. For example, a short-term, fixed-rate loan contract for the account of a large corporate customer has multiple components associated with it, such as the contract-principal component, tax component, interest component, product-preference component, charge component, etc. Transactions are generated at the component level during various events of the contract life cycle, such as contract initiation, booking, accrual, liquidation, rollover, advice generation, contract cancellation, etc. Such dollar (or any other currency) transactions hit the accounting and GL subsystem at the core. Thus, the core GL and accounting system ties the various silos together. As we have seen, the CBS and its modules are used by the lines of business to manage customer contracts and their life cycles as well as most income classified as non-fee income. Core Banking and Fee Income The modules in a CBS have a charge component associated with a customer contract that allows the bank to charge fees. This charge component can generate transactions during various events. The charges, however, are only basic charges that could be required at an account-contract level. In practice, there are multiple other fees and charge components that banks capture using multiple fringe systems in each silo. The Limitations of Core Banking Solutions for Fee-Based Income Fee-based income plays a significant role in the overall profitability of a bank. Limitations on the growth of traditional spread-based income have only led to an increase in the weight of fee-based income. Hence, banks are looking for a way to view charge income at the enterprise level”i.e., a single-customer view of all of a bank’s fee-based income. This means there is a need for the ability to develop enterprise-level pricing strategies, charge the customer at the relationship level, give a bundled fee offering to the customer, etc. A CBS and its modules are not designed to cater to a need for enterprise-wide pricing and billing. Conclusion A core banking solution is mainly used to manage the spread-based income of a bank. The fact that the fee income of a bank is a key differentiator in terms of profitability only increases its importance in the current scenario. Having an enterprise entity and pricing strategy is important to the fee-based income of a bank. A pricing and billing solution helps manage the fee income of a bank by providing a single-customer view of all charges across the bank’s product silos. A pricing and billing solution, hence, brings to the table a unique value addition to a bank by helping it maximize its fee income. - BankingCrossing

You might wonder if a cover letter is necessary when you submit a r©sum©. Unless otherwise instructed, a cover letter should accompany every r©sum©. A cover letter compels your reader to review your r©sum©. Your r©sum© presents factual information about your qualifications, experience, and educational credentials. You use the r©sum© to present yourself as a good match for a position based on the content in a job posting. It is common for job seekers to use one r©sum© for several employment contacts. While this is a customary practice, a cover letter lets you personalize your r©sum© package for a specific job opportunity. You no doubt have value-added skills that are above and beyond those listed as the fundamental job requirements. These skills can distinguish you from other candidates. A cover letter lets you present this information and add value to your marketability. In creating your r©sum© package, your cover letter is an informative and even fun way to demonstrate that you can communicate in a clear and concise fashion. You do this with the words you use, the tone of the letter, and the visual presentation of the letter. Although there are no set rules to creating cover letters, the following are some guidelines for introducing yourself in a letter: Be brief ” Cover letters are not essays. Use just one page to communicate who you are, what you can do for your potential employer, and why you are the best candidate for the position. Be professional, yet personal ” Avoid using the same tone and language you use in your r©sum©. Address your reader as if you were speaking to him or her in person. Your cover letter should compliment your r©sum©, not repeat it. Tell who you are ” Open the letter with a clear statement of who you are and what you do. Don’t make your reader search for that information in the body of the letter or worse have to figure it out from the content of the letter. Maintain consistency ” Use the same heading format on all documents within your r©sum© package (r©sum©, cover letter, references, follow-up letters, thank-you letters). Highlight your value added skills ” Spotlight your skills that do not appear in your r©sum© such as your work ethics, teamwork ability, and skills that are not listed as requirements for the job but are useful to the organization. Explain why you want to work for the company ” Do you like their product or service, their financial standing, their position in the industry, or their direction for the future? Companies like to know what captures your attention. Proof, Proof, Proof ” Make sure that your letter is clear, concise, and error free. Make a checklist that addresses grammar, punctuation, and words that are spelled correctly but out of context (form instead of from, you instead of your, etc.). Use this checklist for your own proof reading and have someone else read it if possible. A cover letter can make the difference between getting an interview and getting passed over. Use a cover letter to help boost your chances of getting the job offer.

However, in contrast with other professional job titles like “lawyer” and “doctor,” the term “engineer” has lately become vulnerable to the engineering of human resource directors who believe in using it for motivational purposes. Consequently, it is quite common today to hear a garbage collector called a “sanitary engineer,” and what is referred to as an “engineering” job may not be what a degree-holding engineer is looking for at all.

The federal government’s Standard Occupational Classification system covers 17 engineering specialties that fit with the traditional job roles of engineering degree holders.

It is exciting to look into the future of technology. In an age of continuous innovation and invention, when the discovery of today loses its sheen tomorrow, it is not easy to pinpoint technologies that will transform our future. Engineering and technical developments are everyone’s concern, as they will not be confined to industry, university classrooms, and R&D labs. Instead, they will make a tremendous difference in our day-to-day lives. Here I will attempt to identify some of the technologies that will revolutionize our lives and our values in the coming years. 1. Quantum Computers Unlike current PCs, quantum computers will have switches that can be in an on or off state simultaneously. The mechanism that will make this possible is known as superposition, and the switches are referred to as quantum bits. The system will make quantum computers operate very fast. A basic quantum computer is likely to be operational by 2020. 2. Programmable Matter Scientists are in the midst of creating a substance that can take a specific shape to perform a specific task. The substance is known as claytronics, and it consists of catoms. Individual catoms are programmed to move in three dimensions and position themselves so that they assume different shapes. This technology is likely to have numerous applications ranging from medical use to 3D physical rendering. It may take around two decades to become a reality. 3. Terascale Computing Techies are working on a project that would make our PCs able to contain tens to hundreds of parallel working cores. The device will have the capability to process huge amounts of information. To create this technology, Intel is exploring the possibility of using nanotechnology and allowing for billions of transistors. 4. Repliee Robots Repliee is one of the most advanced life-like robots ever created. Repliee, an android, is covered with a substance which is very similar to human skin. Sensors placed inside the robot control its movements and enable it to respond to its environment. Astonishingly, the robot can flutter its eyelids and replicate breathing. Repliee operates best in a static condition. 5. Organic Computers To further advance the computing realm, techies need to create a hybrid CPU that is silicon based but contains organic parts as well. The most promising progress in information processing concerns a neurochip that places organic neurons onto a network of silicon or other materials. Future computers will be able to bridge the silicon and organic spheres to utilize processors that incorporate both of these elements. 6. “Spray-On” Nanocomputers The “spray-on” nanocomputer would consist of particles that can be sprayed onto a patient. It would monitor the patient’s medical condition and communicate wirelessly to other machines. 7. Carrier Ethernet Carrier Ethernet is a business service/access technology. It can serve as a transport method for both business and residential service. Ethernet will dominate the metro space in the future and will slowly displace SONET/SDH over the next 10 to 20 years. Development sustains life. However, techies cannot afford to forget that technological advancement will remain inadequate in the absence of contributions from all branches of knowledge and will not flourish if it does not benefit society.

The concept of outsourcing jobs is not entirely new though it has undergone a high degree of innovation and evolved into a global phenomenon. Briefly, outsourcing knows no limits and in today’s context it may not be an overstatement if we say that outsourcing in several developed countries of the world can now be classified in an A to Z Directory! This admirable “employment generator” has brought the business world much closer though there may be quite some negative thoughts on outsourcing from several quarters. However, the snowball effect of outsourcing is now so popular that nearly every business is utilizing the benefits of cheaper or better stated “lower overhead” job distribution and delegation of tasks to freelancers around the world. It is time now to also consider how outsourcing should take place and what we need to reflect upon to make it a success. This is the careful art of “outsourcing” that must be converted to some extent into a “science” as well!

Is Outsourcing a Drain on National Job Opportunities?

Well, it can still be a million dollar question! However, a simple answer to this query is no. There are two reasons for outsourcing projects. One is when there is no local or national expertise on a topic or service and the other reason for outsourcing is the economics of the project. In the latter case it is wise to think of the good deed one may be doing since it is indirectly related to employment generation. Outsourcing should only be considered when there is no fear of security or information “leak out”. The most relevant fields where outsourcing of projects does not cause any harm is writing, data entry, web designing, software innovations, net marketing in a global sense (here the concept is more of remote agencies working for the benefit of the company - just like in the case of affiliate business) etc.

Ponder before you Outsource!

The two contrasting axioms one must carefully ponder upon are:

“Two heads are better than one”

Or

“Too many cooks spoil the broth”

To derive the most benefit out of any enterprise or job one needs more inputs and here the first axiom certainly has an impact. Global exposure is the name of the game today and many companies or organizations striving towards an international input or presence. Outsourcing therefore helps in achieving this objective.

The second idiom can also be true if the outsourcing is carried out in a haphazard manner or due consideration, investigation, or background not collected prior to allocating jobs and projects. It is also quite confusing if one depends on too many sources for a job - for example, too many writers contributing to a single project can throw the impact completely out of gear!

Whenever a need arises to outsource a job or project beyond national frontiers it is better to choose an agency that can really amalgamate and understand the job. Careful gathering of information and capabilities will go a long way in achieving that perfect “outsourcing” principle.

With the advent of Internet - The world is small!

There was a time when we could not outsource small jobs or medium size projects to expertise available at more affordable cost around the world. Only collaborations with their accompanying costs could be executed and everything took a longer time to complete. Today the situation is entirely different and we are in a position to minimize the turn around time for better realization. One must therefore consider “outsourcing” as an executive assistance rather than a job snatcher!

This “Careful Art” aims at completing tasks in the best possible manner and in the minimum period for efficient time management. Outsourcing is a concept that assists you in quickly completing your tasks and need not always be cheaper than local bidding - though it generally is! It is better to research the credentials of the agency prior to outsourcing - lest you be caught on the wrong foot!
